Last week marked the initiation of a significant milestone for our member Paques Biomaterials, as the construction phase of the PHA-extraction pilot in Emmen began.
Over the past two years, the PHA2USE project at HVC in Dordrecht has been operating a test installation to produce PHA-rich biomass from wastewater, followed by the extraction of a clean, high-quality biopolymer. Paques Biomaterials is now launching a pilot plant for PHA extraction in Emmen.
